Joseph Scalia III, Psya.D. is a psychoanalyst in private practice, and a cultural and environmental critic-activist. Dr. Scalia's major psychoanalytic orientation has incorporated the oeuvres of Christopher Bollas, Jacques Lacan, and the l'Ecole Freudienne du Québec of GIFRIC (Interdisciplinary Freudian Group for Clinical and Cultural Research and Intervention).

Sessions are conducted virtually by either telephone or internet audiovisual platforms. Thus, where an analysand lives is not a determinant of whether or not to enter treatment with Dr. Scalia.
